Amber English

EnglishDate of Birth: 10/25/1989

Hometown: Colorado Springs, Colo.

Event: Women’s Skeet

Amber English derives her shooting ability from a long family history.  Her Dad, Mike, and Uncle shot running target at the OTC. Her Mom (Ana) and Aunt shot rifle at the University of Kentucky. "Shooting has been a big part of my life ever since I was little. I learned how to properly handle and use firearms at a young age."

Before getting into competitive shooting, she was a gymnast for most of her childhood, until a back injury kept her from going any further.  Got her start shooting after by trying rifle and pistol with the club here at the Olympic Training Center.  "I was not a huge fan of either and then I met up with Lloyd Woodhouse who was the Shotgun coach at the time. I immediately knew that this is what I wanted to do, and I have been shooting skeet ever since."
