Operations Manager & National Coaches' Assistant
Lisa comes to USA Shooting after years of extensive operations experience. Lisa entered the work force as a security specialist for the U.S. Department of Energy in Oak Ridge, Tenn. Upon moving to Georgia in 1989, Lisa pursued a new career as a court reporter for the state, before starting her own freelance court-reporting firm in 2001. After retiring in 2005, Lisa took on a new role as Vice President of Willa Walla Creek Shooting Center overseeing all operational, financial and marketing aspects. She also stepped into a fundraising position as President of the U.S. Center for International Shooting, a 501c3, aimed at fully funding youth participation in shooting schools. She is excited to bring her enthusiasm for the shooting sports and varied experience to the athletes and staff at USA Shooting.
Lisa is the youngest of ten children – an even split of five boys and five girls – raised in a very small town outside Oak Ridge, Tenn. She married USA Shooting’s National Shotgun Coach, Bret Erickson, in 1989 and joined the shooting sports world when Bret started participating in the international shooting scene as a member of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit. Bret and Lisa have two children – daughter Mara and son Cole. In her spare time she enjoys golfing, fishing and entertaining.
