The 2016 Volunteer Application is now available (bottom of page)!
USA Shooting cannot host America's shooting matches without the help of officials and volunteers.
USAS is grateful to have a strong team of dedicated volunteers who donate their valuable time, knowledge and expertise to help our organization host the best matches possible. With over nine events per year, USAS is constantly looking for new volunteers to help out. We encourage anyone who is passionate about the sport, keen to learn and willing to donate their time to apply.
USAS appreciates the time volunteers give to support our athletes. To show our appreciation, USAS now provides all volunteers a USAS volunteer polo and offers a free one (1) year membership at the conclusion of the first event worked. Volunteer travel and lodging costs are also subsidized and each volunteer is provided with a daily stipend/per-diem. During events held at the Olympic Training Center, all volunteers will be given optional dorm housing and a meal card.

- If you are interested in volunteering we recommend taking the open book test (USAS Level 1) which is available online and mail it along with $10.00 to USA Shooting, Competitions Division.
From time to time USA Shooting will be hosting volunteer clinics to encourage parents to get involved. The clinics will be held a day or two prior to a major match (Nationals, etc.). Those interested in volunteering get hands on experience at a major range, learn the basics and then shadow an experienced volunteer throughout the match. Participants in these clinics are encouraged to bring their children (if they shoot) for an extra days practice. Watch for advertisements regarding these clinics as spaces will be limited. Priority will be given to those who have completed their USAS Level 1 officials course.
