Heiden Finishes Seventh at the ISSF World Cup Final

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (October 5, 2011)

At the 2011 International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Final, the USA’s Rachael Heiden (Clinton, Mich.) finished seventh overall in Women’s Trap.  Heiden shot 60 match targets at the range in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.  Heiden was just one target shy of an opportunity to shoot in the final.  The gold medalist was young Jessica Rossi of Italy with 93 total targets.  Katrin Quooss of Germany finished with the silver medal at 87 targets and the bronze medalist was China’s Wu Cuicui with 83 targets.

The USA Shooting Team left the ISSF World Cup Final with two appearances in the finals and a gold medal won by Kim Rhode (El Monte, Calif.) in Women’s Skeet.  For complete results and rankings, please visit the ISSF Website.
