World Cup Slovenia: Men's Trap

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 10, 2011)

At the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup in Slovenia, Spain’s Jesus Serrano, the 2010 Men’s Trap World Champion, shot the highest qualification score of 124 match targets. Serrano knocked down 22 targets in the final to tie Michael Diamond of Australia. Diamond shot 123 match targets and kept it steady in the final with the highest final of 23 out of 25 targets. In an exciting finish, Serrano stole the gold medal with three targets in the shoot-off to Diamond’s two-targets. Aaron Heading of Great Britain shot 122 match targets and 22 targets in the final to finish with 144 total targets and the bronze medal. Josip Glasnovic of Croatia finished in fourth place with 143 total targets (123+20). India’s Mansher Singh finished in fifth place with 123 match targets and 20 targets in the final for 143 total targets. Jose Manuel Bruno Faria of Portugal finished in sixth place with 123 match targets and 19 targets in the final for a total of 142 targets.

The USA Shooting Team’s Lance Bade (Vancouver, Wash.) finished in twenty-first place with 120 total targets. Teammate Collin Wietfeldt (Hemlock, Mich., pictured) shot 117 targets and Staff Sergeant Ryan Hadden (Pendleton, Ore.) finished with 115 targets.
