Rifle/Pistol ISSF World Cup Final: Men's 10m Air Pistol

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (September 22, 2011)

At the 2011 International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Final, American Brian Beaman (Selby, S.D.) finished in eighth place with 577 match points.  Beaman fired 98 points in the final for a total of 675 points.  The gold medalist was Leonid Ekimov of Russia with 589 match points and 101.7 points in the final for a total of 690.7 points.  China’s Tian Zhang shot 587 qualification points and 99.8 points in the final for 686.8 total points.  The bronze medalist was Yusuf Dikec of Turkey with 582 match points and 100.9 points in the final for a total of 682.9 points. 

In the final day of ISSF World Cup Final competition on Sept. 23, Sarah Scherer (Woburn, Mass.) will represent the USA in Women’s 10m Air Rifle.  Scherer was the gold medalist of the third leg of ISSF World Cup circuit in Changwon, Korea.  As a result, Scherer also scored a quota for the USA.  Additionally, all ISSF World Cup Final participants will try their hand for a chance of Champion’s Cup glory and prize money.  For complete scores and results, please visit the ISSF Website.
