Shooting Industry Steps Up to Support USA Shooting Team with Gun Auction

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April 9, 2015)

Backed by strong industry support, the USA Shooting Team will launch 15 months’ worth of gun auctions to help support programs and training for the world’s best sharpshooters.

More than 10 gun manufacturers thus far have come forth to donate guns for all types of shooting enthusiasts. Each gun is being specially engraved by long-time team supporter Baron Engraving and will be auctioned off by GunBroker.com, the official auction site of the USA Shooting Team.

The first gun to be auctioned, beginning Sunday, April 12, is the XR9 from Boberg Arms Corporation with its patented reverse feed technology. This 9mm is a revolution in the world of pocket pistols. A leader in innovation and quality, Boberg Arms Corporation was founded by Arne and Melody Boberg in 2009. Focused on producing sleek, reliable hand guns, Boberg Arms Corp. has been manufacturing its patented pistols since 2011. The company's facilities are located in Minnesota, where the corporation is dedicated to the production of superior U.S. products. "This is a great cause for a terrific team, and we are glad to participate in supporting them in their pursuit of the gold medal," said Melody Boberg.

Boberg Arms will be set up at the NRA Annual Meeting in Nashville this week, so be sure to visit them in Booth #128 and thank them for the support of the USA Shooting Team.

“The firearms industry has traditionally rallied around the USA Shooting Team,” said Rob Weekes, USA Shooting’s Chief Marketing Officer. “That luxury is realized once again with a gun auction featuring some of the leading gun manufacturers in the business. Their support, as well those eager to bid on these custom firearms, will give our team the firepower it needs in pursuing greatness. Special thanks to Baron Engraving and GunBroker.com for their help and support in making it happen.”

Other gun manufacturers who have stepped up again in support of the USA Shooting Team include North American Arms, Walther, Winchester, Browning, Bond Derringer, Sig Sauer and Mossberg.
