ANNISTON, AL (April 22, 2024) – The U.S. Paralympic Trials- Shooting Part Three are being held at the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Judith Legerski Competition Center in Anniston, Alabama, April 21-28, 2024, and the CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park, April 24-26, 2024.

Up to six athletes will qualify for the Paralympic Games Paris 2024 at the end of the competition. Air gun events will be held at the Judith Legerski Competition Center and smallbore events will be held at the Talladega Park (address listed below).

Among the competitors are Tokyo 2020 Paralympians Kevin Nguyen, John Joss, YanXiao Gong, and McKenna Geer. Geer is a Rio 2016 Paralympic bronze medalist in R5 10m Air Rifle Prone SH2. Joss also competed in the Rio 2016 Games where he finished fifth in R6 50m Rifle Prone.

Gong is the 2023 world champion in P3 Mixed 25m Pistol SH1 and a two-time 2023 Parapan American Games medalist. Nguyen brought back his own hardware from the 2023 Parapan American Games by earning bronze in R6 50m Rifle Prone. Marco De La Rosa is also competing to qualify for Paris 2024. De La Rosa is the 2023 Parapan American Games champion in P1 Men’s Air Pistol SH1.

The competition is open to the public and free of charge. Please note: all individuals spectating or filming at the Talladega range must watch a mandatory safety video and sign a safety waiver.
