Nick grew up shooting with his parents and developed a love for the sport.  His mother, Zona, worked with a man who introduced Nick to NRA Highpower rifle competition.  In the winter, Nick also participated in NRA Bullseye Pistol Leagues, and found his niche.  He was the four-time aggregate Collegiate Pistol Champion in 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012.  He was the NRA National Rifle Junior Champion in Camp Perry, Ohio in 2008.  He grew up hunting and fishing in Montana and also participated in competitive baseball.   Nick was on the Montana All-Star baseball team in 2000.

Nick Mowrer is a World Cup medalist in both pistol and rifle disciplines, a very rare accomplishment. When Nick competed at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, he was a recent college graduate and the youngest member of the men’s free pistol field at age 23. Eight years later he’s set to return, this time competing in air pistol as a husband, a father, and a sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserve.
