Personal: Dempster Christenson started shooting at age 12 in a 4-H shooting program. He wouldn’t start shooting precision until age 16 when he attended a Civilian Marksmanship Program camp in Fort Benning, Georgia – the same place he would win a silver at World Cup USA in 2013.  In 2007, he climbed to the top of the podium in the precision class of the American Legion National Championship, which helped propel him onto the Olympic path and into collegiate rifle.

A graduate of the University of Nevada with two degrees toward being a veterinarian, Christenson is now a Resident Athlete at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He earned an Olympic quota in Men’s Air Rifle with his gold-medal win at the Championship of the Americas in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2014.
