Tim Sherry is from Evergreen, CO. His junior club where he started competitive shooting is Cherry Creek Gun Club in Aurora, CO. Tim graduated HS from Mountain Vista HS in Highlands Ranch, CO. He went on to attend the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2012. As a junior, Tim won Junior Olympics in 2014. The same year, he attended 2014 Junior World Championships, where he placed 11th in prone. He was NCAA individual smallbore national champion in 2014 and the PRC smallbore conference champion in 2015. Tim is a 9-time All-American, earning honors for NRA smallbore, NRA airgun, and CRCA in 2014, 2015, and 2016. He was the UAF rifle team co-captain in 2016. Besides his NCAA career, he graduated cum laude in mechanical engineering.  


In 2017, Tim enlisted in the Army as an infantryman. He is currently a member of the Army Marksmanship Unit in Ft. Benning, GA. He lives in Ft. Benning with wife, Cheyenne Sherry. Since joining the Army, Tim  took 4th place with Ali Weisz in the air mixed team event in Beijing in 2019. He won the 2019 USA Shooting National Championships in smallbore. Tim won gold at the 2019 Pan Ams in smallbore. There he set a new Pan American record and placed 8th at World Cup Rio de Janiero in 2019. Most recently, Tim won gold at World Cup New Delhi in the Men's Team 10m Air Rifle as well as silver in Men's Team 50m Smallbore.
