Was introduced to the shotgun sports by her dad after attending local matches with him during Wednesday night league.  Her requests to shoot with them finally happened at the age of eight, and she's been hooked ever since.  First was involved in the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) and got her introduction to international trap during her 7th grade year.

Her pre-match routine includes finding the right song to sing to during her round as she'll often be seen singing her way through a match.  By winning a third-straight National Championship in 2017, Carroll is the first USA Shooting Team athlete to win three straight national titles since Vincent Hancock did the same from 2010-12.

Had a July 2019 for the ages as she became World Champion, World Team Champion and Pan Am Games double champion with an Individual and Mixed Team title.
