Nguyen 36th in Paralympic Debut, Farmer 32nd in Air Rifle Prone Event

In his Paralympic Games debut, U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit athlete Kevin Nguyen (Westminster, California) finished 36th and teammate Taylor Farmer (Castalia, Ohio) was 32nd in the R3 Mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone SH1 event Wednesday morning at Tokyo’s Asaka Shooting Range. Nguyen scored 627.9 in the qualifying round, while Farmer scored 628.6. The two averaged around a 10.4 score throughout the 60-shot qualification.  

Both athletes will compete again on the last day of Paralympic Shooting competition on September 5, and Farmer will compete in one additional event on September 3.
