May 2020 Leadership Letter

We hope this first edition of The USA Shooting Newsletter finds you well. Based on your feedback, we wanted to make sure we improved our communication with you and brought you up to speed on the happenings at USA Shooting. The USA Shooting Newsletter will serve as our new monthly e-newsletter; expect to see profiles on USA Shooting National Team members who represent you internationally, we will showcase programs & clubs who are making a difference at the grassroots level, profile fellow USA Shooting members and provide you with exclusive member benefits from our sponsors and partners.

2020 has not been what any of us expected. At this point of the year, we were hoping to rally our community around the upcoming Olympics in Tokyo, highlight our world-class athletes as they get ready and inspire the next generation. Even with COVID-19, our focus has NOT changed; our role within the sport of Shooting in the U.S. has NOT changed. We are here for our world-class athletes as they continue on their journey, we are also here to guide and provide opportunities through our development pipeline for our younger athletes, we are also here to support our members and energize our shooting community. We are here for YOU.

Please take some time to read about your fellow community members. In this issue, you’ll get to know Kayle Browning and Lucas Kozeniesky, who will be representing the USA Shooting community at the 202ONE Summer Olympics; you will also get to meet Yvette Kreb, a USA Shooting member, who is trying to help others during COVID-19.

Together we will come out of this, together we will be a stronger community and together our sport will excel.

Thank you for your support,
Sharee Waldron
